Slacker Dip: for the dip-loving slacker in all of us.

Sometimes I like football, sometimes I couldn’t possibly care less. The later is how I feel about tomorrow’s Super Bowl. BUT, what I do appreciate about this particular American Sunday holiday is the amount of dips I get to consume. I wish I could eat all the dips forever. If you’re wondering what you’re going to take to that Super Bowl gathering tomorrow, or if you want to just stay home, enjoy a Peaky Blinders marathon and eat dip straight out of the bowl with no regrets, I’ve got a recipe for you. It doesn’t even seem like a real recipe it’s that easy. Some may call it cheating, but sometimes I’m a slacker, and this dip is delicious. I can vaguely remember my grandma making something similar for parties when I was a kid, and I decided to attempt to recreate that taste. It’s creamy, slightly spicy and salty, with an onion crunch. There is a perfectly seasoned bowl of it sitting in my fridge right now and it’s taking a lot mental strength to not go make a fourth meal out of it tonight.

Slacker Dip

Slacker Dip:

1 packet French onion soup mix

16 ounces of plain Greek yogurt (the only one I like is Chobani)  Chobani

1 teaspoon tabasco sauce

1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons dried onion

dash of garlic salt

Mix that baby up and serve chilled with some good old greasy wavy potato chips or some raw veggies. No one will know it took you 3 minutes.

I also was feeling ambitious tonight and made this pimento cheese dip recipe for tomorrow as well. From this day forward, I will always add mustard to my homemade pimento cheese recipes. I also added some chopped jalepenos and chives. Dips on dips. Go for the touchdown, make both!

Yay football!
